Colorblind NEW News and OLD News (drummers log)

July 21th, 2010: It's summer out there. We knew as the Boat Race weekend approached the temps were going to rise. Forecasted highs in the high 90's and cool summer nights this weekend has got to excite you. That said, Sat night you got to checkout the Biggest Boat Race Party in the Tri-Cities. Colorblind is playing at Richland Jack-sons outdoor with Klovane (formally the "Rose City Kings"), from Portland OR. What a line up...the best rock and roll in the region and the best blues/rock in the Northwest will be playing back to back, non-stop, live in your face music from 8pm to 12:00am. The key is OUTDOORS!!!!, the weather will be damn near perfect for an outdoor bash, cool breezes...6 bars, tons of people and the outdoor headquatere for fun. Options are plentiful, but you can bet the other bars intown are going to have stuffy, hot, indoor summer air just trying to escape, You best come and party with the "beautiful" people, Colorblind, Klovane and 1000 boat race crazy people...that's what I'm talking about. I love this gig.

June 28th, 2010: It's my daughter Katy's 18th birthday today....happy BD Katybear!! So, thanks to all that came out to the Friday, Cool Desert Night Street Dance at Jack-Sons. Numbers have come in around 1300-1400 people, so that was cool. We always love the opportunity to entertain a big crowd. We had our friends Plastic Soul swapping sets with us and that has turnded out to be a great tradition. I believe we will continue this for years to come. We are off for a month until Boat Races weekend. Let the warm weather of summer begin....

June 14th, 2010: What a great weekend down at Wildhorse. Alot of Tri-City faces..thanks for coming down to support us. We appreciate it, and of course so does the casino..:). What can I say about the band....We were tight and on the money all night, both nights. Of course Sat night was better..!!! I think the band is further along than I ever imagined we would be back in early March. It has taken some long nights in the practice room and I believe it has paid off. It is such a royal treat to play behind the two new guitar players. Tone, tempo, and fun on stage. Shit ya!!!! Up next we are playing on Friday June 25th at the Cool Desert Nights, street dance at Jack-Sons in Richland. We'll be playing opposite sets with the band Plastic Soul. This should be fun and a great selection of dance music for the patrons....pray for good weather!!!

June 10th, 2010: Heading down to Pendleton, Or tomorrow for a weekend gig at Wildhorse Casino. We have been looking forward to this weekend for the past 3 months. Come down and join us and checkout the best venue for live music around. It's a short 1 hour drive, but worth trip jus to check out the stage, sound system and light show....Kinda like Disneyland for the band!!!! Also, just booked a return gig back at Jack-sons in Kennewick for Dec 4th. Glad to reconnect with Ken French and Susie back in Kennewick, Later...........

June 5th, 2010: Today my youngest daughter graduated from HS. What a proud papa I am. She graduated with several awards both in Drama and Journalism. A proud day!!!!

May 31st, 2010: We are back!!! Just finished two weekends of gigging with the new "Colorblind"!! That was some serious fun. We are still sharping the sound, but what a difference. Again, we played both days this past Memorial weekend. Two great shows with Jack-Sons annual street dance and the Clover Island Parrothead annual show. Up next we are back down at Wildhorse on June 11, 12. We are in the Wildfire bar. What a great venue, and we are so looking forward to being back down there...I'm going to start up the photo pages again, so yes...check back later today cause we are back!!!

May 11 th, 2010: It's been a little over a month since last posted progress. We are going to unveil the new band members on Wed, May 19th at DAXS. No Cover, so come out....middle of week, nothing going on night!!! We want stay up late..music starts around 7:30. we'll go to 11 or 11:30. Come out and hear the new sound, it's a bit edgy with a great feel and timing. We are excited for you to hear us...This will be the first show with the members Keith Schamljohn and Johnny Strait.

April 6th, 2010: Boy the days are going by so fast. We're still woodshedding. Getting the music down good and tight. When we debut this thing at Jack-Sons in Richland on Sat night May 29th, we want it to be better than ever. I must say the last two weeks we have put some quality time in with the guitar players and it is starting to show. Kind of an edgy sound, but tight. Of course with a mix up like we just went through, some of the songs we have been playing for-EVER will go to the back of the list. Look for some new tunes in Colorblind, (hell we did pickup the two guitar players with Nasty Jack), and these guys had plenty of good ones. Some we will carry over and some brand new ones we all have wanted to play. We are looking so forward to our first show.

March 29th, 2010: We have been busy working in the new guitar players, Keith Schmaljohn and Johnny Strait. We found sometime last night to finally get some new band photos. Thanks to my daughter Katy, see did a great job and we all had fun with these photos. Keep checking back for more updated photos!!!!

March 13th, 2010: So the big announcement is here. Colorblind is honored to welcome to the band two new guitar players, Keith Schmaljohn and Johnny Strait. These guys have been the driving force behind the local band Nasty Jack for the last three years. Keith and Johnny have performed with Colorblind as guest artist in various situations over the last 4 years and bring to Colorblind a new experience and musical professional attitude that will take the band to the next level. With these changes we must bid farwell to Mike Torres and Bill Kelly. Mike and Bill are off to explore other opportunities and we wish them the best of luck. Bill was a original member of Colorblind from day one, while Mike joined a few years after the band formed. The next few months we are going to be practicing and adding new things to our show. We look forward to getting this new product out to you and trust you will welcome the changes with open arms. Our gig schedule is busy starting again in late May with the annual Memorial outdoor street dance at Jack-sons in Richland. From there the schedule is full, so we hope you can catch one of our new shows.

March 10th, 2010: Some big changes are happening with Colorblind. Departures of long standing band members and the introductions of some new players will soon be announced. These changes, as they are painful, are opening the doors for some exciting new opportunties for Colorblind. More information will be posted here as details unfold. Rest assured we are going to be stronger than ever musically as we take this band to the next level of entertainment. We are off woodshedding for the next two months. We will keep you updated.

Jan 12th, 2010: Booking...booking...booking. Colorblind is stacking the dates deep through the entire upcoming year. A last minute new date at The Island Casino on Jan 22nd, re-booked back at Preston Winery for the 2nd Annual Lulu Beach Blowout party in August, back to Wildhorse in early Feb for the first of three weekend dates scattered over the year there, and plenty of summer dates outdoors. We are really looking forward to this year.

Jan 1st, 2010: Another great year for Colorblind!!! and another great New Years Eve party for all that came out last night, and we had a nice, fun crowd. Nasty weather didn't keep the masses from coming out and ringing in the new year with us. Wow!!! Thanks to The PUB and the great staff working last night. The PUB has to be the best indoor venue in the Tri-Cities bar none. Up next we are playing a weekend gig at Wildhorse Casino in Pendleton, OR on Feb 5th and 6th. Come out at party with us that weekend. Book your rooms early and stay the whole weekend with us. A great venue and a fun casino, we are looking so forward to this show.

Nov 16th, 2009: Next up we are at The PUB for New Years. We have been taken some well deserved time-off and look forward to the Pub gig. We have have one Holiday Christmas party booked for Dec so far, so it looks like Dec will be kinda light this years, which is ok with me.

Aug 10th, 2009: We had a blast down at Wildhorse this past weekend. Two great nights...gambling was equally fun. Meet alot of new friends and won over the entertainment management. Hope to make some return trips in the near future. It went very well, one of the two biggest nights in bar sells from what we were told, in quite sometime. Glad to be apart of that for sure. Thanks to all the Tri-City folks that came down to party. We are off until Sept 12th. Need to take a break. It's been a long summer.

Aug 2nd, 2009: Up early today. Going to keep up this time on the Colorblind news. Hey, last night was a GREAT party out at Preston Winery. Hot as blazing fire on the grounds, but nobody cared!!! Thanks to everyone that made the 1st Annual Luau BBQ a big success including Chuck Fisher and the gang at Jack-sons for cartering the party, Just Party for the killer decorations...the list goes on. We had a blast and also wanted to thank Voodoo Alley for playing last night. These guys are alot of fun and can bring on some serious rocking. It was good. Also, thanks to my friend Rick Mugrage for another awesome performance. Up next we are at Wildhorse Casino in Pendleton, OR and Fri, Aug 7th and Sat Aug 8th.

July 28th, 2009: Back to the drummers log. It's been a month since I posted here. We had two great gigs since I last posted, so here it goes.....Brain Howe, formally the lead singer of Bad Company brought a killer band and hit all the notes from the early to late Bad Co stuff. One of the better bands I have seen at Clover Island for sure. We had a blast and it was a great crowd. This past weekend we teamed up with the great local band Nasty Jack for the annual Richland Jack-sons Boat Race Party. These guys are so good. Signature classic butt rock stuff. Thanks Keith for everything you do to promote your band and ours. You guys are certainly on the local scene now!! Around 1000 people were there at the Boat Race Party...it was wild. Up next we will be at Preston Winery for a big outdoor concert and party. See you Sat night, Aug 1st.!!!

June 29th, 2009: Very cool show this past Friday night. We teamed up this year wih Plastic Soul for the annual Friday Night Richland Jack-sons Cool Desert Nights Street Dance. Again this year it was packed to the fences with people. Over 1100 people caught the show and had a great time. Thanks to Plastic Soul for stepping up and covering for a couple extra songs. We also had our lead singer, Dave Warner get ill during the first set, so our good friend Keith from Nasty Jack stepped in and pulled off a great performance. We couldn't have finished the night without Keith. Thanks Bro....up next we are opening up for Brian Howe, formally with Bad Company on July 11th at Clover Island.

June 20th, 2009: Recovering slowing from a great private party last night. I beleive I'm the only band member actually up so far today. Crazy time with the farmers last night. Everyone was having a great time. Good food and a bunch of good people. Up next we are at or the big show Friday night, June 26th with Plastic Soul at Jack-sons in Richland.

June 17th, 2009: Another private party this weekend. The party at Meadow Springs CC went good. Nice turn out, beautiful evening by the pool and some fun folks danced the evening away with us. Damn bugs were eating us up, but we got through it with the help from Kerry..thanks for the bug spray dear. I almost forgot, km...We are gearing up for the big show Friday night, June 26th with Plastic Soul at Jack-sons in Richland. As they say..it's going to be a good time.

June 8th 25th, 2009: Great show last Sat night at the PUB. Crowd was lighter than past shows, but with all the HS graduations in town we did pretty good all around. Off doing some private parties for the next few weeks then we are back at Jack-sons in Richland for the annual Cool Desert Friday Night Street Dance on 6/26/09. This year we are teaming up with the local band Plastic Soul and this will be a great party.

May 25th, 2009: What a great weekend of music. The weather was perfect. We had two big shows starting Sat night at Jack-sons. The was a blast and the parking lot was full to capacity. Thanks always to our friend Chuck at Jack-sons for building the best party in town. We certainly kick-off Summer 09 in style. Sunday at Clover Island was just as fun. We opened up the Clover Island summer concert series yet again with the annual Jimmy Buffet Tribute band, "Garett Wilkens and the Parrotheads". Another homerun with the weather and the crowd was the largest I have seen at Clover Island yet. Full to the bream with people all having a great time. Mark Boltz at Clover Island has got a great thing going with his river edge venue and hotel. We are so stoked to be apart of these events. We played a tight 75 minute set plus one encore to a packed crowd, then the Parottheads took the stage and keeped the party going into the early sunset. Lon Martin of 98.3 "The Key" announced Clover Island's July 11th concert with "Colorblind" opening up for Brain Howe and Bad Company and the crowd roared. We are looking forward to that as you can imagine. We are off a few weeks unitl we start hitting it hard again at The Pub on June 6th.

May 4th, 2009: Catching up a bit here. Just posted a few photos from the PUB back in early April. Let's see, we played a few weeks back for the WA State Optometric Convention. That was actually a fun party. We hope all had a good time. Up next is the first outdoor concert of the season at Jack-sons in Richland on Sat night May 23rd. Let's hope the damn weather will final warm up.

April 6th, 2009: The party last Sat night at the PUB was over the top. What a great crowd and so much fun. We had a guest bass player Paul, join us for a few songs and his family and friends got to see him play. Looks like we made some new fans that night. Thanks goes to our bass player John Hasson for letting Paul take the stage. Also the guys from Plastic Soul got up a played a song and the dance floor disappeared!!! Those guys are real good musicains, let me tell you. The lead singer is quite high on himself, but I guess all of us musicians are that way sometimes.....right? Actually, Colorblind will be playing with Plastic Soul this summer at one of the big outdoor street dances in June. We look forward to that performance for sure. Up next we are doing a large private event at the Three Rivers Convention Center in late April, but our next public appearence will at Jack-sons in Richland outdoors for the annual Memorial Street Dance on May 23rd.

March 21st, 2009: Spring is here. It's about time. We have a busy next few weeks. We will be at DAXS Bar and Grill for a mid week performance on Wed., March 25th. Music starts at 7pm. No Cover. Music starts when the doors open at 6 pm. We'll be performing a few times through out the game and again after the game!!! Cool thing is we will be staged in the east end zone!!!

March 1st, 2009: We performed last night at the Annual Buddy Club Prom. I must say that was one of the best shows we have done in sometime. The kids enjoyed the live music so much and it was so rewarding to be a part of that moment. 250 kids on the dance floor all night....you guys sure know how to have a good time. We hope to be apart of this great event next year. Up next we are doing a private BDay party in Portland then our next live performance will be for the Tri-Cities Fever open opener on March 27th.

Feb 15th, 2009: Good party last night at Jack-sons. As always, Chuck at Jack-sons in Richland put's so much into his events. We appreciate it Chuck and lok forward to our next event their in May. Up next we'll be changing it up a bit doing a great event in two weeks. We'll be performing at the Annual Buddy Club Prom. We look forward to helping out the ARC.

Feb 7th, 2009: It's been a month since I have logged into the ole website. We have been silent this month taken some well deserved time-off. As time doesn't stand still long...we are again staring at another upcoming gig in Sat Feb 14th at Jack-sons. We are looking forward to another big year and this party at Jack-sons will officially kick things off for us.

Jan 1st, 2009: What a great New Years Eve party last night. Clover Island Inn was pack to capacity and the Ball Room was rocking all night. Thanks to all that made it a wonderful evening and to Mark Blotz and the staff at Clover Island for hosting the party. We hope to do that again in the future coming years. We have got some private events in the next few weeks, but back to the public circuit at Jack-sons in Richland on Valentines Day. This is will be a crazy night and you can count on Jack-sons to put on the best party in town that night. Happy New Years to all and we are looking forward to another big year in 2009. We have a bunch of cool things going on.

Nov 10th, 2008: Better late than never..right? Finally I got all the Halloween photos from The PUB together and posted out on the website. Additional photos can be found on our myspace page, http://www.myspace.com/colorblindrocksyou So...what a hell of party. My goodness The PUB was Packed to the rim and the costumes were better than ever. Thanks to the best staff any where in town. Those gals kept up all night, Mark Allen with 106.5 The Eagle and everyone that came out for the fun. That was a blast. We are back at The PUB in a few weeks for a Pre-Thanksgiving Party on Sat Nov 22nd. It should be a great tune up for a stretch of great music appearing at The PUB through the end of the year.

Oct 27th, 2008: Recovering from the two gigs down in Hermiston, OR. We had a great time both nights and met some really cool people. That's one benefit of playing out of town, making new friends. We hope to get back down there next year to play again. Thanks Debbie, Larry and the awesome crew at Nookies. You guys spoiled us!!! Keep in touch and we'll be back soon for sure. Also, thanks to Christy with the Relay for Life crew for the Halloween Party. We had a great time an really enjoyed playing at The Pheasant. We also hope we can get back down there for a regular weekend bar gig. Up next is our big Halloween Bash on Fri, Oct 31st at The PUB. his should be a huge party and we can't wait. You better come all dressed up for Halloween. It will be fun!!!

Oct 21st, 2008: one month later.....We are gearing up this weekend for a two night stand in Hermiston. Two gigs....two nights...two different locations. Fri, Oct 24th we are at Nookies Bar for a good time at a new place. Don't know much about the place, so we are hoping for the best. If your looking for sometime to do and want to take the short trip down to Herimston, come join us. We'll rock the place and they'll want us back...:) On Sat, Oct 25th we are across the street at The Pheasant Bar. This is a Relay for Life fundraser and everyone is invited. The event is sponsored by the good folks at WGI down at the Army Depot. We performed last year for these guys and it was one hell of a party. Come down and party with us this year, but be prepared for a small donation to the cause and be sure to be dressed up in you Halloween garb. This will be another party to remember!!!

Sep 21st, 2008: Well, some updated information finally. I have been real slow in getting my old butt of the couch after so many great gigs the past few weeks. We had a blast at the Pablo Cruise concert for the finale at Clover Island. Thanks to Mark Blotz and the guys in Pablo Cruise. That was a memory will have forever. Two gigs the next day at the Fiery Food Fest and the The PUB rounded out the big weekend. The FFF in Pasco was a early performance allowing us to keep our commitments at The PUB and we managed to pull it off just fine. We really had a good time with the early crowd at FFF and played non-stop for 2 hours. I could tell they didn't want us to leave, but the PUB was a callin' and we actaully pull a few people from the FFF later that evening. Another big night at The PUB and so many new faces. We had a blast at the final show. Then.......a short week off and back at it over in Richland at the "Sausage Fest". All I can say is two nights of Beer, Dancing, Food, and of course Rock and Roll. I'm going to say it right now....Holy S@%^!!!!, what a party. Both nights full to capacity and more trying to get through the doors to the gym Beer Garden. One final thanks to Peggy Cross for booking us. We really had a great time.We extend our thanks to all of our fans and newlt found fans....you make the party!!!

Aug 28th, 2008: Kinda late with the captains log.....All I gotta say thanks to all that came out to The Island Casino to help celebrate my 50th Birthday. That was a great party and it meant a lot to me to see so many of you. That was one hell of a party and I'll remember it forever. Again thanks to my buds in Colorblind and Nasty Jack for playing and making tht party as fun as it could be. You guys are the best. My brother and his wife flew in for the party from Arkansas and that made it all the better to see them. That was awesome. He turns 50 next year and maybe Colorblind will get a chance for a long road trip to play his party.....who ever pays for that trip better start saving starting tomorrow..:) Up next Colorblind will be opening for Pablo Cruise...more details to follow.

Aug 17th, 2008: A very busy weekend has past. We were asked to help raise money for Rosia who past away on Aug 5th. We performed for a couple of hours Friday night. Thanks to everyone who attended and donated to the family. We will miss you dearly Rosia. Sat night we kicked off The Kingsmen concert with a brief 60 minute set and warmed up the already baking fans. It must have been 100 degrees when we played!!! That was a blast...thanks to Mark Blotz and the crew at Clover Island, and to the Kingsmen for being such down to earth guys. I think all had a great time. Up next Colorblind will be hosting the Drummers 50th Birthday Bash on Sat Aug 23rd at 9pm.. This is going to be a hell of a party and everyone is invited. More to following...

Aug 10th, 2008: Getting geared up to open up the show for the Kingsmen on Sat, Aug 16th at Clover Island in Kennewick. Gates open at 6pm. Just a brief closing note....the fundraiser for the Hispanic Chamber and Fiesta Foods on Aug 7th was a blast!!! thanks to Gracey and her crew for organizing a great event. I heard they raised alot of money. Thanks to Victor Cruz from Canon De Sol for hosting the event at his beautiful winey.

Aug 3rd, 2008: Wow, what a fun party down in MF, Oregon last night. We played Dave Warner's 20 year high school reunion and had a ball meeting all his classmates and talking about the ole' High School year's. We hope everyone had a good time and hope we made some new friends and fans with that performance. The band sounded real good last night from where I was sitting high up on the drum riser. A beautiful evening and the smell of livestock and skunks in the air kinda summed it up...well we were in Milton Freewater...:) Up next we are playing a small fundraiser for the Hispanic Chamber and Fiesta Foods on Aug 7th then we are gearing up to perform with the "Kingsmen" out on Clover Island Aug 16th, so we are keeping busy and most of all having fun.

July 27th, 2008: Another Boat Race Weekend has come and gone. Colorblind played both Friday and Saturday night parties again this year at the PUB and outdoors at Jack-sons in Richland. Crazy people were out in force both nights. The PUB was packed and of course Sat night at Jack-sons was over the top. Thanks to all that came out and we hope to do it again next year. Up next we are going to celebrate a little high school reunion for our lead singer Dave Warner. This event is private down in Milton Freewater and sure to be a blast. See you again soon.

July 6th, 2008: Colorblind had a great time on July 4th. That was so much fun playing to all the people down at the park. We had a nice crowd of younger kids and their parents huddled around the stage, dancing and have a great time. As I looked out beyond the bleachers I could see thousands of people just relaxing and listening to the music through the park. The fireworks were loud, close and in your face. Thanks to Roland Thompson, Concert Productions and all the good people that made the music events a success. We hope to do that again next year!!!

July 1st, 2008: Colorblind is gearing up for a cool show on July 4th. The band will be the closing headliner of an all day lineup of music and entertainment at the BIG Kennewick "River of Fire" 4th of July Fireworks Show!!!! That's a mouthful. We take the stage at 8:30 pm and play right up to the first skyrocket leaves the ground. This year's festival is going to be the closest ever from the band stage to the actually lift off point for the fireworks... I talking about @1000 feet way!!! That's right, so get to the park early and put your butt right in front of the temporary stage that will be erected next to the Playground of Dreams. Again, Colorblind performs from 8:30pm to lift off...!!! This is going to be the best fireworks show ever!!!!

June 22nd, 2008: Dave is back!!!! Colorblind had a two great parties this past weekend. Friday night at Jack-sons in Richland for the big Cool Desert Nights street dance and Saturday night at the fairgrounds in Kennewick for the KHS All Class Reunion. Both nights were packed with fans, friends and so many new faces. We lucked out with the weather on Friday night and Sat night we were indoors bldg #2 at the fairgrounds so both nights were perfect. With so many things going on this past weekend it's amazing we had the crowds we did both nights. The KHS All Class Reunion was over the top. That has to be the best time we have every had performing to a crowd. Everyone was into the party and the dance floor was packed with hundreds of bodies all night..No shit...ALL NIGHT! Thanks to my new friend Lee Ford for hiring us to perform and everyone involved in making that night one of my most memorable..did I mentioned Dave is back!!!!! Up next for Colorblind is a fundraiser we are going to join in on for my friend Duncan Pryce. Duncan has had some recent health issues and we are going to help raise some money for his medical bills. Duncan is a popular musician here in the Tri-Cities and I think all of us musicians in town have shared the stage once or twice with Duncan over the years. We are going to perform a 45 minute set on Sun, June 29th at the Island Casino in Kennewick. The music lineup includes 10 local bands and the music gets started around 12:00 noon. Colorblind takes the stage somewhere around 3 pm in the afternoon. This is a no cover event and donations will be accepted for the cause. Hope to see some of our fans show up Sunday afternoon to support this...and......July 4th, Colorblind will be rocking as we perform the pre-firework show in Columbia Park..More details to follow....

June 8th, 2008: Colorblind had a great time last night at The PUB. Packed as always and tons of fun for all. Big story is Dave, our front man was 99% of his old self, which pleased us all. We are so happy he is back and doing what he does.....Da man is da party!!! One issue that I need to get off my chest is the fact that The PUB has started a new policy for bands not allowing us to have one invited guest per band member. We, Colorblind have always had a guest list that basically contains a list of our wives or girlfriends...one per band member and they would not have to pay cover. Well unannouced to us, this policy is now in effect at The PUB and it was an issue last night. If your wondering why there are no pictures to enjoy from that party last night...thank the management, they were mandating that Colorblind's band photography, my wife Libby pay cover. She refused, walked out and didn't come back. Looks like I got some issues to work out with management over there. Again...sorry for not having the Colorblind trademark photos from last night. Putting the PUB behind us..... we a few weeks off until a busy weekend on June 20th and 21st. Two big performances in-town. The Friday night street dance at Jack-sons in Richland will kick it off. We'll have the great rocking blues band from Seattle, Roger Enders performing those alternating sets with Colorblind...music will be non-stop and the party will be redlining all night. On Sat, June 21st Colorblind will be the headliner at the big KHS All Class Reunion. This event is being held out at the Fairgrounds in Kennewick and should be attended by thousands!!!

June 1st, 2008: Colorblind and Nasty Jack had a great time last night out at Jack-sons in Richland. The weather held out..the wind calmed down and we had a very comfortable evening. Great crowd later after the game was over and as always thanks goes out to Chuck and his crew at Jack-sons for another great party. Colorblind would play outside their over any venue in town. Again, we had a blast, Nasty Jack rocked and all is well....Colorblind is back at The PUB next Sat night, June 7th. Dave should be in full form by Sat as his recovery from surgery has progressed well. Oh I almost forgot....Check-out the new photos of my new drumset. ..:)

May 26th, 2008: Colorblind did the opening act yesterday for the Jimmy Buffet tribute band. What a great crowd and a beautiful day it turned out to be. Dave, our lead singer was a trooper performing 15 songs just 1-1/2 weeks from having major disc surgery. We played a "tame" set of music to help Dave get through that 1 hour performance and he did wonderful. Thanks to all that were there during our opening set and all who made the time following the set to say how much they enjoyed our song selections. Thank also to Mark Blotz and company from Clover Island for having us open up the show. Up next we'll be at Jack-sons in Richland on Sat May 31st. We'll be performing with the local band "Nasty Jack". This will help Dave as he get's stronger and recovers remarkably. See ya out this next weekend. It should be a great show!!!!!

May 23th, 2008: Some of the Colorblind band members went out tonight to catch the IV show at the new Island Casino music club. I must say that is a first rate setup. They have a nice built in stage, house PA system and a incredible light show. All this is available to the bands and it is run by two employeed technicans. Unfortuntly, Colorblind's schedule has made it difficult for us to be there this year, but we'll make in there sooner or later. Oh, I forget to mentioned, IV had a good crowd and they sounded really good. For a three piece band they cover alot of music. Good job fellows......

May 5th, 2008: Colorblind is going to be laying low most of this month as our lead singer undergo's some disc surgery. Please say a prayer for Dave that all goes well. We had to cancel the Island Casino gig due to this issue, but those of you who know Dave, he has been in tremedous pain the last month and this is the only thing that will fix that. We are going to keep our fingers crossed for a full recovery so he can do the Clover Island gig on Sun May 25th. This show on Sun will only be a 1 hour performance and if his recovery goes well, we're going to make that one. Again, let's keep Dave in our prayers for a speedy recovery.

April 14th, 2008: Colorblind played at Uncle Sam's Saloon on Sat night, April 12th. It was a fun crowd of our faithful followers...and we appreciate you guys showing up. Also noted were some new faces. We are not booked back at Sam's this year, so we hope the new faces we saw will follow us to the next show. Speaking of the next show, we'll be at The PUB in a few weeks on Sat, April 26th. This will be our first show with the new band setup area and we LOVE the PUB. We are looking forward to this new area and you can bet this show will be great. Pass the word...see you in a few weeks!!!

April 10th, 2008: Lots going on this weekend. Colorblind will be at Uncle Sam's Saloon on Sat night, April 12th. Music starts at 9pm and will be rocking the joint till 1pm. Come on out and party with da Boys. Also, THE SHADES will be opening up the new Island Casino dance club with a Friday night gig and a huge opening and closing show with the LA based tribute band "Aeromyth" on Sat night. We wish them luck!!! Now just annouce...Colorblind will be opening up the 4th Annual Concert Series with Clover Island. There is an exciting line-up of bands we will be opening for all summer. The line-up includes Garrett Wilkin & The Parrotheads ! A tribute to Jimmy Buffet, The Kingsmen, and Pablo Cruise!!! Stay tune Tri-Cities for the big summer of fun..

March 16th, 2008: Great time last night. We certainly started off the St. Patty's celebration with a hell of a party. Thanks to all that came out and all the new faces. The band sounded good and the dance floor was packed all night. What more can you ask for? Thanks to the staff at Jack-sons for taking such good care of the big crowd and us too...Up next we are at Uncle Sam's Saloon on Sat April, 12th. We are excited about this one and looking forward to showing the owner's how "Colorblind" likes to rock the party...

March 2nd, 2008: The Leap Year Party at Jack-sons in Richland was a huge success. We had a great crowd and again made a ton of new friends and fans. Congrats to all the BDay celebrations that night (5) and all the winners..I recall Brenda came away with one of everything!!! Thanks to all that came out. Will do it again in 4 years....

Feburary 18rd, 2008: Leap Year only comes around every 4 years and for those less fortunate to actaully have a Feb 29th BDay, it's been a long 4 years since your last one!!! Colorblind, Richland Jack-sons and Gapwest Broadcasting are bringing together the coolest Leap Year BDay party for anyone who's birthday is actually on Fri, Feb 29th. That's right, if your 21 or over and your BDay is on the 29th, we are going to through a party in your honor. Be sure to listen to all 4 Gapwest stations, 97.5 (Kool Fm), 97.1 (97 ROCK), 98.3 (The KEY) and 102.7 (KORD) for contest rules and details. Colorblind will be given away to one lucky BDAY participant two season tickets to the Tri-Cities Fever.

Feburary 3rd, 2008: From where I sat last night the band sounded good. You gotta smile when the music is tight and everyone is playing at their best. Our new lights worked out great and Jerermy spend all night setting up the scenes. What a difference they made. The crowd was having a great time and danced hard all night. The snow was coming down and those that braved the crappy weather seemed to enjoy the show. Dave Chongo was on fire and keep the crowd in at like never before...

Feburary 2nd, 2008: Tonight we are at Jack-sons in Richland. Music starts at 9:00pm. There is alot of stuff going on tonight in the Tri-Cities so what ever you decide to do be safe!! We are going to be back at Jack-sons the end of the month to celebrate that extra day this year. Anyone with a Feb 29th birthday??. your party that night is on Colorblind. This has become a Clover Island annual event and the first time we have been asked to kick off the party. More details to follow.

January 21st, 2008: We got some neat things upcoming this summer. I'll say this much, "Clover Island and Colorblind are back together in 2008". More details to follow...stay tuned. Up next Colorblind will be at Jack-sons in Richland for the annual Pre-Superbowl Saturday Night Party on Feb 2nd. You can bet this will be the best ticket in-town... and we all know Jack-sons can host a party. Make plans to come out and party with the Tri-Cities favorite rock band..Colorblind!!!!

January 1st, 2008: Well another year has come and gone. We wish everyone a Happy New Year. As far as the band is concerned we are off the month of January. Next up at Jack-sons in Richland for the Annual Pre Superbowl Dance on Feb 2nd. We had a great 2007 and look forward to 2008. We are hoping to land some big shows next year so keep checking back for the news. I'm exhausted from last night, so I'm outta here......

December 20th, 2007: We're almost through this busy month of December. As we a approach the Holiday's we would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We hope to see all our friends on New Year's Eve at The PUB. It's going to be the best party in town!! Bar None....

December 10th, 2007: It's been a busy last 2 weeks. I'm way behind posting photos...my bad. I'll try my best to get all 3 past gigs posted this week. We have two more private parties this month, then New Years Eve at the PUB.

November 16th, 2007: Colorblind is already starting to book for next year. Checkout our Calendar of Events and you can see we have many dates through the end of November 2008 already booked!! We have kept a few dates open for this or that.

November 11th, 2007: Thanks to Chuck Fisher and the great staff at Jack-sons for yet another fun evening . There is a reason why COlorblind calls Jack-sons in Richland our home base. We had a blast last night and extend our thanks to all our friends and the new fans we pickup on the way. We will be back at Jack-sons in Richland for the annual Sat night Superbowl party in Feb 08. Were looking forward to another great party. Up next Colorblind is gearing all our energy for a month long string of private corporate parties during Dec. We will be playing at The PUB on Dec 1st and finishing off the year back at The Pub on New Years Eve. Both dates at The PUB are open to the public!!

October 31th, 2007: What a great weekend we had with the two Halloween parties. The PUB gig was sure different from last year. A great big crowd and we dressed up like rock stars...lot's of fun. Thanks to all that came out and there was some good costumes. Colorblind had a blast the night before down in Hermiston at the Scare Away Cancer Halloween Event sponsered by WGI. God that was fun. You guys down there really know how to have a good time and I don't ever recall a ELK's lodge room ever sounded better. Hope to hookup with Cindy down there for another event soon.

September 13th, 2007: Better late than never. What a great time Colorblind had this past weekend. We opened for HeadEast on Friday night and had a blast with the crowd and the band. What a great group of musicians those guys were. Down to earth and all around good people. Not much good things to say about the production company other than they sucked, but we kinda had a feeling watching them work that afternoon. Anyway, glad we had another chance to open up for a big band of the 70's. Both bands rocked!!! THanks to all that came out to support Colorblind.

August 13th, 2007: Nice party on Saturday at Jack-sons. Saw some new faces and old..Not to say the old faces were old by no means..:) Thanks as always to the great ownership and staff at Jack-sons. We always enjoy a party there. We'll be back there later this fall. We are off until Sept 7th when we open up for "Headeast". It should be a great show and we look forward to seeing all our friends at this one.

August 6th, 2007: Man...I am late getting the website up to date. Well we survived the big Boat Race weekend. That is the first time we played both nights. You can image how tired we were come Sunday. I don't think a one of us even went to the races on Sunday:) We seemed to have picked the right venues both nights and I'm proud to say we had huge turn outs, both nights. The Pub on Friday was alive with locals and vistors. It was packed all night and hot as hell in the room. Not sure the final head count, but it was elbow to elbow most of the night. On Saturday we moved the party over to Jack-sons in Richland for a double billed show outdoors in the warm summer night. My other band, Nasty JAck started the show while it was still daylight. By the time Colorblind hit the first note we had another party on our hands. I do believe we hit it just right with taking the party outdoors on Sat night. Thanks to all that came out and all the out of towners that partied all night with us. See you guys next year!!!!

July 25th, 2007: Big weekend up in Soap Lake. Colorblind was playing all hours of the day. Twice in the park and a late night short set with our friends "Roger Enders and the Road to Ruin" at the Business Men's Club in Soap Lake. What a blast we had and hope to be back there next year. Thanks Brett for having us and putting on the rally. BOAT RACE's are coming up this weekend!! Colorblind will be busy provding the music at two of the best venue's in town during Boat Race weekend. Fri night, July 27th at the PUB in Kennewick, music starts at 9pm. We love the place and can't wait to expereince our first Boat Race Party at the PUB. Come party with us as we kick off the Boat Races. On Sat night, July 28th we are across town at the huge outdoor street dance hosted by our good freind Chuck at Jack-sons in Richland. Music starts at 8pm with the opening local band "Nasty Jack". If you haven't caught their show your in for a treat. Original and Cover "B" side hits from the 70's, 80's and 90's. These guys (I know), I'm the drummer in NJ as well as CB, put on a show. Colorblind has graciously allowed Nasty Jack to opening and we can't thank them enough. Colorblind will take the stage around 9:30pm and carry the party non-stop till past midnight. Outdoors, Boat Race Sat night, warm weather, cool drinks, two great bands....you better be there!!

July 19th, 2007: Getting ready for the weekend up in Soap Lake for the Lava Love Run to the Sun, motorcycle rally. It's going to be a great weekend for an outdoor party. Colorblind will be performing twice on Saturday, July 21st at 2-4 pm and 9-11 pm, both performances will be at the city park on the main stage in downtown Soap Lake. Too Slim and the Taildraggers will perform from 7-9pm. On Friday, July 20th, Nasty Jack will take the main stage in the park with a performance from 8-11pm. Get on the hog and ride up for the weekend. BIG NEWS JUST IN.....Colorblind is pleased to announce that we have been chosen to opening up for the legendary classic rock band "Headeast". Their biggest hit to fame is the song "Never Been Any Reason" off the album "Flat as a Pancake" on A&M records released in 1975. The concert is Friday, September 7th at the Clover Island Inn in Kennewick. This will be yet another outdoor concert and we are excited to warm up the big crowd for this event. More details to follow shortly...

June 25th, 2007: It's about time I updated this log. Sorry for the delay, but you understand it's been a marathon last two weeks for the band. I just want to say that Colorblind had a blast the past two weeks including a outdoor performance at the Schools United Family Festival at Columbia Park on Saturday June 16th, one heck of another awesome party at Jack-sons with our friends from Seatte, "Rogers Enders and the Road to Ruin on Friday, June 22nd for a huge Cool Desert Nights Street Dance, followed by an opening performance with the "New Cars", fronted by Todd Rundgren on Saturday June 23rd in Walla Walla, Washington then a final a hop, skip and a short haul back to the Tri-Cities for the darn best privite party we have ever played. Thanks to all that were involved including, Bob Mangione, organizer for the SUFF, Chuck Fisher and his wonderful crew at Jack-sons in Richland, Deni Herman and the Clear Channel gang over in Walla Walla and to Phil and Kim Davidson for one heck of a party along the Yakima River. I'm not sure we could do this much each weekend, but it was sure fun while it lasted. We are off on personal vacations for a good three weeks, but will resurface for a fun filled weekend up in Soap Lake, Washington with our friends at the annual "Lava Love Run To The Sun" Motorcycle Rally. Colorblind will perform on Saturday night, July 21st in the town park. Music time is still undetermined, but it will be a nightime park performance. Keep checking back on the website as I will be attempting to post photos and video from the past two weeks for all to enjoy.

June 10th, 2007: WOW...That was a hell of party last night at Jack-sons in Kennewick. We were slated to play outdoors, but the weather was crap. No worries, the inside venue there at Jack-sons is great and the place was wall to wall all night. Thanks to Ken, Suzy and the entire crew at Jack-sons in Kennewick for another great job hosting the party. That crew at Jack-sons is "second to none". Also, I would like to say a special thanks to Ken for the nice stage light install. That really makes a difference and our sound guy Jeremy said he had to work more last night running the light show. Nice touch. We'll be back at Jack-sons in Kennewick later this summer. Hope to take it out on the patio then. NEWS Flash...Colorblind has a really busy next few weeks including two charity events. First on Sat JUne 16th we will be closing the Schools United Family Festival at the Kennewick Columbia park amplitheater. This is an afternoon event that will be raising funds for area school PTO's. Colorblind will perform at 7:30 for an evening of fun family rock and roll sure to please dad, mom, and the kids. The following weekend is shaping up to be probably more than we can chew. I'll post more details next week, but we are talking Friday night, June 22nd outdoors at Jack-sons in Richland, Sat afternoon, June 23rd with the New Cars in Walla Walla and a private party later that night back in town.

May 28th, 2007: Colorblind had another great time outdoors at Jack-sons in Richland this past weekend. The weather was warm and the crowd was huge...I personally counted around 600 people.:) Anyway, another successful Memorial Weekend Street Dance. A great way to kick off the summer outdoor live music scene!! Colorblind will be next at the Jack-sons over in Kennewick on Sat June 9th. We are hoping for good weather to "bring it out on the patio". One last thing to bring up, John Hasson, Colorblind's bass player, wanted to make note that the meter counter on the website has surpassed the 10K mark!! Thanks to everyone for supporting the band and visiting the website. I have been told by Dave Warner, Colorblind's lead singer, that Colorblind shoud obtain a "myspace website" in conjunction with this website. I support Dave getting that started and I will continue to keep the Colorblind website intact as well...Later.

May 19th, 2007: Colorblind has landed a huge gig in Walla Walla. We will be playing at the Walla Walla Relay for Life on June 23rd at 3:30 pm. We are part of a 4 band concert that builds to the main act of the night.."Todd Rundgren and the New Cars". If you haven't followed the New Cars, Todd Rundgren got two of the original band members from the Cars and brought in his favorite bass player and drummer. They are touring all over the US right now promoting there new CD, and from what I have heard it is great. Alot of Cars tunes and some new stuff. This should be fun for me personally being such a huge Todd Rundgren fan. We are the second band of the 4 band entertainment bill. We play from 3:30 - 4:30 in the afternoon and will be tailing out of there back to Benton City for a outdoor private party on the Yakima River later that night!!! More details to follow about the Walla Walla show..Keep checking back often.

May 13th, 2007: Photos are now posted from the party last weekend at Jack-sons in Kennewick. Sorry for the week delay, but lot's going on. Again that was a great weekend an we all had fun.

May 7th, 2007: Colorblind had one hell of a time this past weekend at Jack-sons in Kennewick. Well played both Friday and Sat night, a first for us and it turned out great. Firday was a little slow, but on Sat it was packed and.... what a party. I would like to thank Suzy and her great staff for taking care of us and all our friends. We like playing there and the acoustics in that room are wonderful. We had a warm, rich, full sound thanks in part to the room and of course our soundman Jeremy! We are off a few weeks and take to the stage at Jack-sons in Richland on Sat May 26th. That is officially Memorial Weekend, so we are hoping for nice warm weather so we can play in the parking outside. See you then..

April 22nd, 2007: Colorblind plays next at Jack-sons in Kennewick for a two night show on May 4th and 5th. We haven't been back there since late last year and we are so looking forward to it. Great ownership and wait staff!! See you..

April 10th, 2007: Colorblind is sad to announce the cancelation of the Fever Football Pregame Show. Due to circumstances with the AF2 rules we do not have enough time to take the field and perform during the pre-game. Sorry for the bad news. However, our very own Mike Torres will still be singing the National Anthem. Please make plans to attend the BIG after game party at Jack-sons in Richland following the game on Sat, April 14th. Colorblind will be hosting a NO COVER event so please join us.

April 1st, 2007: Colorblind is getting ready for the Fever opening game April 14th followed later in the evening by the big party at Jack-sons in Richland. More details to follow....

March 31st, 2007: Went out tonight to check out the old band Mudshark at Kimos. They had a big crowd and the place was buzzing. I counted 6 band members. I didn't make it through the first set. Ended up over at Jacksons in Kennewick to catch the band Vicky and The Velvets. The place was dead, which is too bad, because the band was really good. Good vocals and good musicians = good band. Which brings me to the reason I'm logging this today. There is a buzz with two of Colorblind's band members as they are taking on a second music project. Over two months ago, John Hasson and I, Buddy had an opportunity to join up with two local guitar players for some basement jamming. We cranked out tunes that we knew between us and had a great time. Since that first jam session, we have continued to play weekly and the band Nasty Jack was formed. Now don't be alarmed, John and Buddy have no intention of leaving Colorblind. With the support of the Colorblind band members, John and Buddy are simply fulfilling a passion to play more often that Colorblind is able to perform, which is ok!!! So, I'm not going to use the Colorblind website to promote Nasty Jack anymore than this. www.nastyjackrocks.com

March 19th, 2007: Man what a party on Sat night at THE PUB!! Colorblind would like to thank Tim, Steve and all the outstanding wait/bar staff at THE PUB. You guys worked your butt off and it showed. The crowds were record numbers and the fun started early...If you missed it, well you missed one of the biggest parties we have been a part off. We need a month off to recover..and that's what we going to take. We'll see you again at the Fever Football opening night, April 14th at the Toyota Center in Kennewick. More details to follow. Last thing I wanted to say is we have posted several video performances on the website and expect to continue such as we perform this year. Keep a look out!!!

Feb 20th, 2007: Colorblind has recently book the Lava Love Run To The Sun Motorcycle Rally for July 21st up in Soap Lake Wa. This is the best show we play all year and we look forward to the other bands and all the great folks that run the rally. We are going to promote the rally extra hard this year down in the Tri-Cities and get more riders up for this event. Speaking of Soap Lake, the past few years we had the oppotunity to listen to several great bands that flood the bars during the Soap Lake weekend. One band we really like is "The Ender Brothers" from Seattle. We are glad to announce that they have agreed to play on the same stage with Colorblind this year, but not in Soap Lake....in Richland for the big Friday night "Cool Desert Nights" street dance. Details to follow.... This is going to be cool!!!

Feb 11th, 2007: Colorblind is off for a month gearing up for the BIG St Patty's Party at THE PUB on Sat, March 17th. If you are looking for one place to celebrate St Patty's this year we got the party planned!! Here is a bit of news if your actually reading this page. Colorblind might just pop in to a neighborhood bar around town on a practice night. We traditionally have a weekly practice on Wedensday nights and those practices are closed to the general public, but last week we packed up the gear and headed to Jeffery's in Kennewick for an open practice. We had a blast and the handful of people in the bar that night did too. We are thinking that we'll have to do this again and when we do it will be spur of the moment...no clue what bar we will choose next???

January 12th, 2007: Colorblind is busy booking for 2007. If you look at our calendar there is not many dates left. We normally play only once a month..maybe twice a month, so we don't have much left. It's going to be a fun year and were looking forward to playing more this year at The PUB and Jack-sons in Kennewick. We have many dates with Jack-sons in Richland which has been our tradition...so look for us there throughout the year as well. Speaking of Jack-sons in Richland, we will be there on the Sat night (Feb 3rd) before Superbowl Sunday again this year for the Annual Sat night Pre-Superbowl Party. Hope to see you there too.

December 28th, 2006: Colorblind had a busy month of December. We have played 3 Christmas Parties and were gearing up for the New Year's. We had a blast playing the corporate stuff with Energy Northwest and KGH the past weeks. We hope all that were in attandance had as much fun as we did. Thanks to Babette with Energy Northwest and Tami with KGH for booking us to do your shows. Again, what a great bunch of folks you have. Please make your plans now if you haven't already to come join Colorblind as we rock in the New Year at Jack-sons in Richland. It's going to be a packed house, so be sure to get your tickets early. Call Chuck Fisher (Jack-sons manager) at 509-946-8118 to get your reservations.

December 2nd, 2006: Just announced...Colorblind will be at The PUB on Friday December 15th, 2006. We were asked to play for a large party and it's open to the public!!!! Here is your last chance to see us one last time before New Years Eve. Again that's Friday night, December 15th 9pm to 1am. See ya there!!!

November 19th, 2006: I'm a week late with the photo postings and updates to the website. For all that have been waiting on the photos...sorry. We had a great time inside at Jack-sons last weekend. Nice crowd and always a good time to see all our faithful out to support use. Thanks again to the great wait staff at Jack-sons for keeping up with the crowd and the 2 Kenny's for having us back. Up next is a busy month in December playing a couple big company holiday parties. These are private events sorry to say. We will again be at Jack-sons in Richland this New Years Eve. Make you plans now to join us.

October 30th, 2006: WOW...what a party last Sat night at The PUB. That was a blast and I know everyone had a great time. Thanks for all that came out in costume. That's what it's all about. Everyone was in a party mood and we had so much fun playing music. If you didn't make it out, we (Colorblind) dressed up as the 4 band members of KISS..and Dave was Elvis!!! We almost didn't do that, but thanks to John our bass player, he flipped the coin with Bill one of the guitar players and we lost..Well it was our gain in the long run and it worked out to perfection. We even added a few more good songs to the song list, which by the way, I need to update on the website here. We have added over 20 new songs the past 6 months. I'll get the song list revise before next gig on Nov 11th at the Kennewick Jack-sons. This will be our last indoor bar gig performance this year, so make plans now to join us!!

October 24th, 2006: We are a few days away from the BIG Halloween Party at the PUB. We'll be there this Sat, Oct 28th and it's sure to be a great time. This has got to be the best inside venue in town. The sound is great..the wait staff is #1 and the crowds are huge. What more can a working local rock band ask for???? So come all decked out in this year's Halloween garb and you might just win a prize...lot's a giveaways and some darn good music to get you partying. We were last at the PUB on June 10th..It's been way too long. We can't wait to get back there. Rumor has it that band will be sporting some pretty good makeup for this Halloween Party. You don't want to miss that..) See ya this Sat. btw...we are still waiting for that feature article in the Tri-City Herald. It's on the way. We were told that early to mid Novemeber, so as soon as I know for sure, I'll post it here...thanks

September 22nd, 2006: We played last week at Kimo's. We had a good crowd, a dancing crowd, that loved everything we tossed out there. Thanks for coming out and supporting the band. Next, we are at THE PUB for the big Halloween weekend party. I can't wait for this. It should be packed and fun. Come out and dress up for Halloween!!!!!! Note::Colorblind will be feature in a few weeks in the Life Section of the Tri-City Herald. I'm thinking it will be either Sept 29th or Oct 6th. Keep and eye out on the friday newspapers for the next two weeks. Our calendar for next year (2007) is getting ready to be unveiled. We are already speaking with all the local bars and will be booking the whole year real soon. Stay tune for that.

August 31st, 2006: Summer is almost over. Well officially we got alomost a month left, but Colorblind is going to call it over. We had a blast with all the outdoor shows and it's time to start taking the fun indoors. We are playing on Sat, Sept 16th at KIMO'S. It's been awhile since we played here and we are looking forward to this great venue. Let's have another great turnout of all our fans and show KIMO'S who's got the best, supportive fan base in the Tri-Cities!!! We are currently learning some new music to add to our song list. A little bit of old classics and some new stuff. Colorblind would like to extent a special thanks to Jeremy Foss. Jeremy has been running sound for us this summer and boy what a difference a great sound guy can do!! Jeremy is also our sales expert over at Ted Brown Music. He get's all of our business needs we it comes to gear. I suggest if you need anything in the way of band equipment...give Jeremy a call. Jeremy is also a very talent musician and singer and is heading to Seattle in a couple weeks to try-out for American Idol. We wish him all the luck!!

August 20th, 2006: Well, were all recovering from this week. What a busy month we had. It started with corporate picnic at Howard Amon's Richland Fingernail and ended last night on the new outside patio at the Jack-sons Kennewick. In between we did another huge outdoor event for Jack-sons in Richland as a benifit for Pet Over Population and this past Friday, did a little opening act show for 70's country rock legend band Poco. Thanks go out to all that were at these events in support of the cool things going on. Also, thanks to Mark Blotz at Clover Island, Chuck Fisher at Jack-sons Richland, and our new friends..."The Two Kenny's" at Jack-sons in Kennewick. You guys make it happen and give us great venues to play at!!!!

August 3rd, 2006: I'm guilty again for not keeping up this journal. It has been a busy summer both for the band and personally. We played last at the Soap Lake Lava Love Run and are getting geared up for a busy month of August. Look to see us at Jack-sons on Aug 12th and Aug 18th at Clover Island opening up the show for POCO!!!

June 24th, 2006: Well another first for Jack-sons Sports Bar....The Street Dance with Colorblind and The Shades brought out over 1500 people to the Cool Desert Night Friday Event. It was wall to wall people and the party got started at 8:00pm and ended close to 12:30am. If you missed it, both bands had a great time and the crowd loved the 30 minute band sets alternating all night. Colorblind opened as the crowd was coming in the doors and there was music nonstop all nights. The Shades had a great night of music that featured Faith Martin on vocals, which totally was a mix of female geared songs from disco to funk to newer Top 40 hits while Colorblind had a more driving rock set that pumped the crowd all night. Both bands closed the night with a jam together of "Takin Care of Business" and the crowd went wild. It was a night to remember and we hope to do something in the future similar again. June 16th, 2006: Last week we played at The PUB and had another great night with the folks there. I'll say it again, that's a great place to play and the crowds get bigger as the night goes on..Thanks to Tim, Steve and the staff and the PUB...See you guys again later in the year. We are less than a week away from our next gig at Jack-sons. The Friday Cool Desert Nights Street Dance. This year we are teaming with The Shades to put on an evening of great dance music, so be sure to be there!! June 23rd...8:00pm

June 8th, 2006: We played our second and final show for the Tri-Cities Fever this past weekend. We got to play at mid-field during halftime. What a fun 7 minutes...that's right 7 minutes of playing plus several hours of setup and tear down. Was it worth it...Hell Ya!! Would we do it again????? Colorblind will be at THE PUB this Sat night, June 10th. Be sure to come out and rock THE PUB with us. We really like playing there and the crowds have been really big...

May 28th, 2006: You never know what the weather is going to be like in the Tri-Cities in the late spring early summer, but we made it through another cold, windy, rainy Memorial Day without to much damage. Last year it was sunny, hot and incredible for Memorial Day, this year..not so good. Although when we took the stage wondering what the weather would bring us the rain stoped and the evening turned out nice...but COLD. The crowd was down from last year by the numbers, but all that came out had a great time including the band. Thanks again to Chuck and the staff at Jack-sons for putting on a first class event. We billed it as a street dance and we delivered. Colorblind will be performing next at the final home game of the Tri-Cities Fever on Sunday, June 4th. If your going to catch the last game, be sure to stay in your seats at halftime...we are going to rock the house!!!

May 21st, 2006: Has it been 2 months since I have entered a log here??? Well, we are still alive an kickin!!! Went last night to the PUB to see IV play. They are such a good band. Tight musically and are as professional as you'll see here in the Tri-Cities. Thanks Bill!! Anyway, Colorblind is gearing up for next weekends big Jack-sons Memorial Weekend Street Dance in Richland. This will be the second year we play this venue and if it's close to being as full as last year... you better not miss this party. We hope to see you all there. We will be picking up the pace as Summer approaches so be sure to check out our calendar.

March 13th, 2006: Everyone is still talking about that gig at the PUB last month. We can't wait to get back there and really rock the place down. In case you haven't heard Tim at the PUB has booked us back there in June and for a Halloween party that will just be over the top. Keep checking our calendar for possibly more gigs at the PUB this year. Speaking of gigs...our calendar is filling up nicely for the year. It's going to be a crazy summer with several outdoor events scheduled including a road trip back up to Soap Lake, Wa for the big "Lava Love Run to The Sun Motorcycle Rally." In a few weeks we will be joining back up the Tri-Cities Fever football team to kick their 06' season off in style with a live pregame concert on March 24th at the Toyota Center. So, if you haven't got your tickets to the best damn fun around... do it now.

Feb 26th, 2006: What a great party we had last night at The PUB. This was our first time there and the hype was as expected. What a super place to play..big roomy shotgun building, which let's the sound travel far. Alot of seating and plenty of room for performing and viewing the band, dance floor is a little small...so of course it was at full capacity all night. Thanks goes out to Tim, Steve and the entire staff and crew at The PUB. They worked there tails off all night and that was a huge crowd to deal with. We are starting to unveil some newer current music with very good results. Look to hear more new stuff in the coming months!!! We will be back at The PUB in April.....I got a feeling it will be even bigger. Thanks everyone for supporting Colorblind. This is such a great ride and out newest band member, bassist John Hasson is having a ball. What can I say...we are having fun again.

Feb 6th, 2006: Well we had a great time at Jackson's last Sat night. The band sounded BETTER than ever!!! John Hasson, Colorblind's new bass player was on fire all night long. The band never missed a beat and the show went on with raving reviews. I can't say enough about how full, brite and defined the band sounded. It was sure fun and all that showed up had a wonderful time. Thanks to Chuck, the staff at Jackson's and that guy buying the band drinks all night long..wow!!! Our next gig is going away from our home base at Jackson's and playing in Kennewick on Sat, Feb 25th at the PUB. We have never played there. We are looking forward to some new faces and another great party for sure. Tell you friends..Colorblind is going to play at the PUB...

Jan 26st, 2006: GO SEAHAWKS!!! Can you believe it. The HAWKS are going to the Superbowl. Wow....so what a better way to get all primed up for the big game by coming out the night before (Sat Feb 4th) and partying down with us at Jackson's in Richland. Colorblind will be there rocking the joint for 9 to 1 am. We have played this party the last 2 years and it's one of the best....With the HAWKS in the Superbowl the place is going to be full, so get there early. See you on Sat, Feb 4th..

Jan 21st, 2006: Colorblind is gearing up for another year of parties, concerts and fun. First off we are getting ready for another "PRE-SUPERBOWL Dance at Jackson's again this year. The dance is going to be on Saturday Feb. 4th, 2006...the night before Superbowl Sunday and it's a great opportunity to come out get all primed up for the big game. I'm not going to say anything about the team I want there on Sunday...Anyway it's the first gig for Colorblind of the year and sure to be another good time. I want to take sometime here and also welcome to Colorblind a new bandmember. John Hasson has join Colorblind as our new bass player. John has many years of expereince here in the Tri-Cities in bands, but most of you might remember John as the bass player for the band Tri-Cities "Reckless". John saw Colorblind 3 years ago at and outside gig at RF McDougalls and came up to me and said..."I want to play in this band". We were losing our bass player at the time, Rick Resinger, and we were in the process of getting Lou Smith back to the Tri-Cities and into Colorblind as our bass player. I told John that the timing wasn't right, but to stay in touch. Well..... time has past and John got the call. I also want to briefly thank Lou for all he had done while being part of Colorblind. Lou brought a strong work ethic and some kick ass vocals to the band. We had some great gigs and good memories...but, things needed to change and the focus on having fun had faded, so we welcome John and look forward to this new year. See ya Sunday, Feb 4th at Jackson's!!!

Jan 4th 11th, 2006: Colorblind had another outstanding year wrapping up back at Jackson's in Richland for the New Year's Eve dance. We played several concert style venues this past year, including the Firefall opening gig and the Hurricane relief fund raiser with big sound, lights, and stage, both at Clover Island under the stars. We sure hope to return next year to Clover Island as well as Jackson's and several private parties on the horizon. We are starting to book gigs now so if your interested or know someone looking for the best party band in the Tri-Cities, please pass the word.

Dec 11th, 2005: What a great crowd we had last night for the annual KGH Holiday Party. The facility we play in was top notch (Three Rivers Convention Center). Thanks goes out to Tami Bradbury for the opportunity to provide the music and all the people that stayed to the very end....we had a fun night!!!

Dec 8th, 2005: Well...I'm guilty again of not keeping up with our news. It's been a busy month for Colorblind on a personal note. We played at Kimo's back on Nov 12th to yet another great crowd. I've been getting heat for not posted those photos, but I just can't find the time to get that done. Hopefully, I will get those posted before the year's end. The real reason is the website is full and I need to archive off some of the photos from 3 years ago....or maybe I should just increase the website storage area. Oh well. This Sat I wanted to inform everyone that Colorblind is playing a huge Holiday Party for Kennewick General Hospital. It is end of the year event that will help celebrate employee recognitions and awards. Although the dinner and awards portion of the evening is strictly for the employees and their guest, the band has been hired to provide dancing starting at 9:30...Now the cool part. The dancing and music of Colorblind is open to the public and It's FREE!!! That's right. So if your looking for something free and fun to do this Sat, Dec 10th and it's been awhile since you have been out to see us, this would be a great time. The Three Convention Center will have a cash bar so your all on your own for spirits...Hope to see you this weekend. Pass the word...9:30 Sat Dec 10th

Nov 4th, 2005: Colorblind is gearing back up to play at Kimo's next Sat, Nov 12th. We had a great time last month playing there with all our family and friends coming out and enjoying a great new place to play. Thanks to Evan and the great staff at Kimos'. We really enjoy the new digs!!!

Oct 19th, 2005: Colorblind is looking forward to this Sat night. We are playing at the new KIMO'S bar in Richland. This is the location of the old Rattlesnake bar and grill and it's been totally redone inside with a new bar area, deck and staging for bands. Please come out and join us for our first gig at KIMO'S. It sure to be a packed house so get their early. We are ready to get you guys out rocking on the dance floor....

Sept 17th, 2005: I would like to say thanks to all that got involved on the Katrina Benefit Relief Concert last night. That was a huge undertaking by many people. Lou Smith, our bass player, orgainized the entire event and our sincere thanks goes out to Lou. We all had a great time and hopefully we helped raise some money to be sent down to the Guld Coast area for the relief effort..

Sept 13th, 2005: The Pasco Firey Food Fest was again a big hit for Colorblind and all our devoted fans. You guys ROCK!!! Thank you to the Pasco City commitee that put on this event. We had the best sound system and sound company in the Tri-Cities and the weather was great. That was the first gig we had done that was a multi-band event and things were smooth and well orgainzed. Thanks also to The Jim Basnight Band for hanging around to hear us play..You guys are great. Our next show will be a special one close to my heart as we help to raise money for the Hurricane Katrina victims all across the Gulf Coast region. I personally feel their pain as I grew up in New Orleans and this tragedy has touched me deeply. Please make plans for this Friday, Sept 16th and join us with Charter Cable and Clear Channel radio as we host the entertainment portion of the event. The event will be held at the Clover Island Resort in Kennewick. Gates open at 6:00pm I believe. Mark Blotz, General manager of the Clover Island Inn has given us the venue to stage this Tri-Cities community event. Hope to see you there. Colorblind has offered to donate all the gate cost collected for the event and have pulled together many others to donate there time and have wavied their cost to help make this night special. Thanks go out to Concert Productions and Tri-City Stage for donating their services at no charge.

August 13th, 2005: Firefall....I don't think I have ever seen a dust strom come up so quickly out of nowhere. It delayed our start by 15 minutes and we played for only 30 minutes during the full blunt of the storm. I still have sand in my teeth and ears...lol. I want to thank everyone that came out and sat through that terrible dust storm. We appreciate all the support. The feedback that was given to us all night was very pleasing. Many of you said that was the best the band has ever sounded. Thanks to Tom and Concert productions for all the top class sound gear and Frank Eng for the use of some of the backline gear. It made a difference. By the time Firefall took the stage the wind had calmed down a bit and the evening actually did turn out nicer late. Firefall put on a wonderful show with, in my opinion, the best vocals I think I have ever heard. Unbelievable...they are all great musicians that was a big treat for Colorblind to open up for them. After the show they hung out with us, we took some pictures and they had a early flight out of Portland that left 6:00am Sat morning, so they headed out of town around 12:00 midnight.

July 24th, 2005: Well the guys and I had one hell of a time at the Walla Walla Class of 75 reunion last night. A great turnout and one heck of a fun group of folks. I must say that was the better than my past 20 year reunion and I just met some of you. We hope you had as much fun as we did and we look forward to playing back in Walla Walla sometime soon. If anyone has any digital photos of the reunion/band performing and would like to have these posted on the Colorblind website, please contact me at cabentz@charter.net. Our band photographer wasn't in attendance last night and I would love to have some photos of your reunion to post for all to see...thanks

July 20th, 2005: Sorry I posted the photos so late this time. I'm really slacking off here. Anyway, the photos from last Sat night at Jackson's are up, so enjoy. We had another great time with you guys. There were 600 people singing and dancing with us, so how can you not have a great time??? I can't begin to say enough thanks to Chuck and his staff at Jackson's. We are so lucky to be the "House" band at the greatest bar in the Tri-Cities!!! We'll be back hopefully one more time before the summer is out, so keep checking back to our calendar. We are off to Walla Walla this upcoming weekend to play a 30 year high school re-union. 30 Years!!!! I hope we can get them rocking...lol. Firefall show is our next Tri-Cities event on Friday August 12th. Please get your tickets early. Go on-line to book them at http://www.cloverislandconcert.com/ Colorblind will play from 7:45 to 8:30, just 45 minutes and this will be our first gig ever opening up for a national recording artist. Firefall had 6 top 40 hits in the 70's and was very popular with the light rock/country sound back then. You guys can't miss this!! Please come out and support us in the once in a lifetime opportunity for "Colorblind"

July 5th, 2005: It's offical. Colorblind has been asked to open up for "FIREFALL" on Friday August 12th at the Clover Island Resort in Kennewick!!! This by far is the biggest opportunity yet for Colorblind, opening up for a major recording artist from the 70's. As you all know, the band members in Colorblind are of the age that we listened to FIREFALL in the late 70's on the radio and in concert as we were in our early to late teens, so of course this is one heck of a treat for us. Mark your calendars for this upcoming event. Again, we are so excited about this and look forward to all the hype that will be hitting the airways soon. Keep checking back for more details.. also, check out this link for ticket information and sound bits of FIREFALL'S biggest hits...http://www.cloverislandconcert.com/

July 3rd, 2005: Well last nights performance at the TRAC was a short one. Sorry for all that showed up, paid the $5 and saw us only play to 12:00. We're disappointed we didn't play the extra hour as billed, but the TRAC management ask us to stop due to the poor turnout. We appreicate all of you who did show up. We had a great sound system and a laser light show that was really cool. I can speculate forever about why the turnout was so low, but bottom line....No advertisement keeps coming to mind. Can I also say...can you ever have too much hired security?...:). Our next show will be back at our home base (Jackson's) on July 16th. This will be yet another parking lot dance and were looking forward to this event. Chuck and his staff are hosting a regional softball tournament and are providing the party location for the teams. The public is invited of course and this is going to be fun. So mark your calendar for the 16th and come on out an party with Colorblind. Also, heads up to some big news about Colorblind playing an event in mid August. Details aren't offically finalized, but as soon as the contract is sign we will be speading the word.

June 28th, 2005: I would like to extend a late thank you to all that came out to Jackson's last Friday night for the parking lot dance. It was a nice summer evening and the crowd was again huge..another big night, especially with all the other things going on that night in Richland with the Cool Desert Nights events. This upcoming weekend don't miss our performance at the TRAC following "The Little River Band" concert. Again Colorblind will closeout the evening with a giant dance inside the Exhibit Hall at the TRAC...for more details go to http://www.grandold4th.com/Hope to see you all there.

June 13th, 2005: Update on "The Grand Ole 4th of July" event at the TRAC in Pasco. Colorblind is happy to announce we have finalized most of the details and will be on the stage in the Exhibit Hall playing for hopefully one of the biggest crowds ever right after "The Little River Band" plays their last encoure. We have a big stage setup, Concert Productions provding all the power, sound and lights, and a party to play from 9:30pm to 1:00am. This is going to be huge so you gotta plan on being there for this event. 97ROCK and the Franklin County is promoting this as the biggest indoor party of the year. $5 cover, 21 and over..Keep listening to 97ROCK and checkout the website http://www.grandold4th.com/ for more details.

June 7th, 2005: Colorblind is getting back to business lately. With the huge event that took place last month at Jacksons we have some more good news for you. We have been selected to perform at "The Grand Ole 4th of July" event in Pasco at the TRAC on July 2nd. Details are underway, but what I can tell you is we will be performing following the Little River Band at the TRAC in the EXPO hall adjacent to the Arena. 97ROCK is on board to make this a huge after concert party featuring "Colorblind" from 9:30pm till 1:00. As soon as we get more info I will pass it along...STAY TUNED!!!!

May 28th, 2005: Well. I have to say when we talked about putting this Fever Football gig together with Jacksons I never thought we would have 1000 people packed into the parking lot and indoors. There was a line 50 people deep waiting to get in up till 11:30. We had a great time as usually when we team up with Chuck and the crew at Jacksons. They really know how to throw a party. This was also the first time we had 97 ROCK sponser an event and what a job they did. We hope to work with these guys again here in the future. Man everyone had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and the crowd was into the music and danced with the band till the cops shut in down at 12:30am. That's what we wanted to happen!!! Thanks again to Travis with the Fever and all the players, cheerleaders, and front office who came out for the party. It was all about the Tri-Cities Fever. They are on a winning streak that no one can touch and we are happy to be able to help them celebrate their first season here...You guys kick butt!!!

May 20th, 2005: Colorblind is gearing up for the BIG Fever sponsered event Sat, May 28th at Jackson's in Richland. If you haven't heard yet, we are playing a huge Fever Football parking lot party and your all invited. Jackson's and 97 ROCK have teamed together to host this event which includes all the football players, cheerleaders, coaches and owners together thanking you for the support of the first year here in the Tri-Cities. Of course how can you have a party like this without Colorblind, so we have hooked up with Jackson's once again to have a "Party till the Cops Come"... Music starts at 8:00pm and it will be a great event...This will be outdoors with a huge stage and multiple bars and food, etc...Come early and stay late with us as we rock the Fever and let'em know how we throw a party!!! We will have an opening band, "The Davis Hurley Band" from the Tri-Cities. This band is new with a hot new female singer. She has recently moved here from Spokane and the twist will be to see if you can identify the drummer and guitar player??? Hint.....they both are in another local band. Also..Friday, May 27th at the Fever football game, Colorblind wll be involved in several on field events starting with the National Anthem. Mike, Dave and Lou will be honered to sing the national anthem for you guys to start out the night. All band members will then be part of the offical coin toss and rumors are we will take part in some halftime event which includes a golf club and a football... so be sure to come out and support the Fever on Friday.

April 22nd, 2005: Colorblind will be involved with several events associated with the new Tri-Cities Fever Arena Football Team in the next few weeks. We are excited to be a part of the hottest game in town and would like to see you at the upcoming sponsered events....We will be performing Sat, April 30th for a huge "Tailgate Party" sponsered by 97 Rock and the Fever. It's going to take place from 4-6pm outside of the Tri-Cities Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick and the public is invited...no cover charge for the band!!! So come on out early to catch Colorblind as we pump up the crowd for the home game against the Everett Hawks....See ya there!!!! More details to follow about the other events we are planning with the Fever..

April 10th, 2005: The boys are back in town. That was the theme last night as Colorblind played to one of the best group of folks yet. Everyone had a great time and the crowd was really into the band and the excitement of Colorblind back on the scene. We put this gig together real quick and Chuck at Jacksons let us play in short order. I can't say enough about the support we get from our friends and families. Without you guys we would be just would be another bar band in town, but you inspire us to be better musicians and entertainers. We have been offered so many recent opportunities to play more in and around the Tri-Cities and is all because of your support. Cindy Davis and company, the Kroners, the Dave Warner groupies, our wifes, our girl friends, our close freinds, and Jacksons Sports Bar...Yes....the boys are back in town!!!!

March 30th, 2005: Colorblind got some great news this morning. We have been asked to be the main headliner for this year's Pasco Fiery Food Fest. Of course we have accepted the offer and will be looking forward to the event. This year's fiery food fest is the weekend of September 10th and 11th, so you better mark your calendar to be there Saturday, Sept 10th to rock the house with COLORBLIND!!!! Details to following.....Next weekend on Saturday, April 9th come on out to Jackson's in Richland to party with us. Colorblind will be celebrating "Spring Fever" with a huge dance. Checkout our calendar of events for time..

March 18th, 2005: Well as soon as I get the new band photo posted, we lose another band member. Caleb has left to pursue other interest. Caleb played one gig with Colorblind. He practiced several months leading up to our Superbowl Party at Jackson's, but has decided to move on. We wish Caleb all the luck in his musical future. On another note, Colorlind will be back at Jackson's on Saturday April, 9th. Please be sure to mark your calendar for another great time upcoming at Jackson's. Also, for all those who enjoyed the Crawfish Boil last year at Jackson's I (boudreaux) will be cooking them up for the 2nd Annual. This years event will be on Saturday, May 7th and will be huge...Mark your calendar for this awesome fun time!!!

Feburary 7th, 2005: Where have we been???? We'll it's a long story that I want get into, but...we needed some time to regroup, take a breather and spend the fall and early winter with our families. Not all of us were onboard for this time off, but I honestly got to tell you it was good. I personally did some fishing and hunting on the weekends. It was nice. We just finished an awesome gig this past weekend at Jackson's. Our 3rd year to help Chuck kick-off his big Superbowl weekend of activities. Again the place was packed with all our friends and families there to enjoy Colorblind like never before. Thankfully, we have Mike Torres back with us and the new addition of Caleb on guitar and keyboards has Colorblind on the brink to be the hottest live band in the Tri-Cities. Our calendar will be filling back up again soon as we start to assembly all the fun shows we want to do this year, so keep checking back often. We have Colorblind tee shirts for sale. They really turn out nice, so next show be sure to pick one up. If you would like, contact me at buddy@musicbycolorblind.com to reserve yours today. Cost is $15..See you guys at our next show.

November 8th, 2004: Sorry for the downtime with the website. It seems that my credit card expired and my host server made the call....no pay...no website. That behind us, the site is back up and running. Mike, our lead guitar player for the past 3 years has decided to leave Colorblind for personal reasons. I will miss Mike and the fun times we had performing live. Mike always was prepared and at the top of his game at the gigs...Good Luck Mike. Forced to bring in another guitar player, we lucked upon a young player named Caleb Knutzen. Caleb most recently was part of the Eddie Collins Band here in the Tri-Cities. Caleb also plays with Lou and I in another music project called "Cross Country". Caleb brings to Colorblind some incredible tasty guitar work, along with keyboard experience, not to mention his vocal capabilities. We welcome Caleb to the band and look forward to the development of some new material. Look for Caleb at our next show in Feburary. We will be performing for our 3rd annual Pre-Superbowl Party at Jackson's in Richland on Feb 5th.

October 11th, 2004: Well....we really enjoyed the wedding reception we performed at this past weekend. An open bar and a bunch of fun people = A Great Time!!!! Colorblind would like to wish Dustin and Tara a successful long happy marriage and hope to see them and their friends again. So, as I explained in the last journal notes, we are taking some time off to spend time with our families, do a little hunting and fishing, learn some new music and basically prepare for another year of "Live Colorblind". We are booked to perform next at Jackson's in Richland for the Saturday night "Superbowl Party" on Feb 5th. I know that's a long time from now, but we promise the wait will be worth it........

September 13th, 2004: Colorblind would like to extend a special thanks to Ray Hansen, Millcreek Brewery, Gilbert Auto, Best Western Hotel and all the great folks that came out for the BIG Wheelin Walla Walla Street Dance on Saturday night. The weather held out for us and everyone had a great time!! Although we didn't get to see as much of the car show as we planned, there was some cool cars and a large crowd in the downtown area. We hope to come back to Walla Walla soon.... Our next and last performance of the year is a private wedding in early October. After the wedding will be taking the rest of the year off to learn some new material, spend sometime with the families, and kinda refuel the soul. We had an awesome year, performing close to 20 times. We'll be back early next year ready to rock. In the meantime, please support all the local bands that are surfacing here in the Tri-Cities and all the local venue's that have open their doors to the growing local music scene.

August 24th, 2004: The band has completed a two week run of private parties. Both parties were for our close friends and we enjoyed the opportunity to play at both of these functions. Private parties allow for us to relax a bit and enjoy the great company of our friends. Thanks again to Renee and Cindy for the excellent time!!! Our next performance is on Saturday, Sept 11, 2004. We are going to play as the headliner act for the "Wheelin Walla Walla Car Show Street Dance. Music starts around 8:00pm and will go to around 11:00pm...or longer!! The format is a outside stage in downtown Walla Walla, road closed off for all to dance and have a good time. This event will be our last public performance of the year, so you better mark your calendar for this big night. More details to follow as we get closer to the event.

August 1st, 2004: The band had a late night following the "BIG" party last night at the "Rhythms on the River". We had yet another crowd of our friends and more new faces than ever. It was most likely due to the folks listening to all the entertainment last evening with the 4 live bands, all within walking distance. We closed the event and had a hugh crowd decend on RF McDougalls at about 11:30. We were billed to play till 12:00, but we keep on going to around 12:30. We would have played past 1:00, but a damn drunk spilled a beer on our mixer and it was over. We were done!!! As I always say, we learn something everytime we play and this evening we learned never to leave he mixer unattended. btw....the mixer is a Mackie and it fired right up this morning after I took it all apart and got the beer all cleaned out. Thanks Big Jim for the sound level check early on...it made a difference. We are going to be performing a few private party's in August and will return to the public stage in Walla Walla on September 11, 2004. Keep checking back for more details...

July 30th, 2004: We have taken the week off following the Rattlesnake event over Boat Race weekend. We also did a private party last Saturday night which ended early in the evening, so we weren't to beat come Sunday to enjoy the boat racing ourselves. Again, our next show is this Saturday, July 31st at McDougalls, outdoors in the parking lot for the 2 annual "Rhythms on the River" music festival. Colorblind is happy to be apart of this great evening of music in a prime location for viewing all the bands billed to play. Please come out and join us rock McDougalls once again in the cool summer night. It's sure to be a great event and as always one hell of a good party!!!!!!

July 24th, 2004: Colorblind would like to thank Evan and the whole crew at Rattlesnake for putting on another awesome party last night. It was so damn hot getting setup in the late afternoon, but cooled off at sunset. We hired a sound guy again for this event and we sure got our moneys worth this time. This guy was good and we had that full live sound!! The evening started out...real slow, but built into a crowd of over 400. Not bad for a Boat Race Friday night. Thanks to all that came out to our show. We appreciate it as always. Our next show is this Saturday, July 31st at McDougalls, outdoors in the parking lot for the 2 annual "Rhythms on the River" music festival. This event will include 5 bands, all of different music genre's. Music starts at 5:00pm, Colorblind will end the evening with music from 9:00pm to 12:00am

July 18th, 2004: Colorblind would like to thank Brent Blake and Melea Johnson for the awesome welcome they extended to us. The heat was on all day and the hired sound system was giving the sound guy all he could handle. We took the stage at 6:45pm and rocked the park till 10:45pm...that was a full 3.5 hours of music in the heat of the evening...we were drained. We had a great crowd that stuck around in the park for our performance and we would like to thank them for hanging around. We were asked to return next year, so we hope to see you guys up in Soap Lake again. Our next show is this Friday, July 23rd in town at the Rattlesnake, outdoors in the parking lot, for a Boat Race Party. Music starts at 8:00pm...See ya there!!

July 16th, 2004: It's gonna be HOT tomorrow in Soap Lake. We'll be getting into town around 12:30 in the afternoon. We have a sound system and sound engineer from Wennatchee who will be running the PA system. Heard yesterday we follow the band BlueBone to close out the live entertainment in the park on Sat. Look to see us take the stage between 5 and 6pm and play for several hours into the evening.

July 7th, 2004: We had been praticing the last few weeks getting ready for a busy month of July. We will be up in Soap Lake, Wa on Saturday, July 17th for a early evening performance at the "2nd Annual Lava Love Run To The Sun Motorcycle Rally". We take the main park stage at 6:00pm and will be rockin till 10:00pm. Following our performance, the local bars in town will continue the party with more live blues and rock and roll till 1:00am. This event is one of the biggest annual attractions in Soap Lake and it's sure to be a great venue for us to rock and roll with some new friends. The event is actually a 3 day event that starts on July 16th and runs through the July 18th. This year the city is planning on over 1500 bikers to show up and the festivities include great music at several in town venues, alder smoked salmon BBQ, a bike show, poker run up the Grand Coulee Corridor, many vendors, and lots more. Soap Lake is located in the Columbia Basin of Eastern Washington on a "Healing Waters" mineral lake unique in all the world. It is on HWY 17 and the southern gateway to the beautiful Grand Coulee Corridor, lined with basalt cliffs and gorgeous lakes that lead to Grand Coulee Dam.

June 27th, 2004: It's Sunday morning and we have had several folks view our website and leave some very nice feedback from our performance the past Friday night. Thank you for the kind words.

June 26th, 2004: Well we didn't finish the "Battle of the Bands" like we thought. We ended losing the competion to The Shades over a total of 25 votes. It was a great crowd overall, 2000 in attendance, with a total of 700 people who actually voted. We lost due to a number of facters, but rest assured it wasn't that we didn't perform at 100%. Tom and CPS had us sounding great, a performance that would win any battle of the bands, but it was never about truly who was the best band and I refuse to use this format to bitch about the outcome. So that put behind us, we focus forward and get ready for another show up in Soap Lake, Wa on July 17th. This event is associated with the "2nd Annual Lava Love Run to the Sun" motorcycle rally. Details are still being finalize, but we are slated to perform from 6:00 pm to 10:00pm in the city park area. As we get more info I will pass it on.

June 20th, 2004: Last night at RF McDougalls was fun. This was our last bar gig show for awhile. We had a nice crowd of all our friends and we continue to thank-you for all your support. Well....this Friday, June 25th we will be going up against the local band "The Shades" for the finals of the "Battle of the Bands". We need EVERYONE there to help us win!!!! This is a public vote and each person who attends will get a ticket to vote for their favorite band. Of course, we all know who your favorite band in the Tri-Cities is...right!!!! This whole event is part of the 11th Annual Cool Desert Nights Car show and we are glad to be part of the festivites. We are working hard this upcoming week getting prepared for the show. See ya there!!!!

June 12th, 2004: Last night at Jackson's was packed. The Daniel’s Group, promoter for this year's Cool Desert Nights, was hoping for a good night and boy did it turn out a hit. Over 500 people walked through the door to see Colorblind and Romagossa Blu duke it out for the rights to move on to the next round on the "Battle of the Bands". The weather warmed up during the day, winds died down, and the evening was nice. Romagossa Blu took the stage first and got the crowd into their Latin/Blues original music. These guys are such good musicians. Lead singer Steve Kerry set the pace for the night with his Dr. John style voice and that Latin classic sound. Next we took the stage and from the first note it was obvious that something was wrong with the PA. The system was overloaded and we sounded like shit. The sound guy we had hired had the mixer board all tweak and the whole set was awful. What a way to start. Next set Romagossa Blu keep the heat on with some tribute music to the late great Ray Charles and ended with some groove base bluesy sax stuff. Our last and final set was great. We got the PA system corrected and the dance floor filled up. Final vote...COLORBLIND WINS!!!!! So.....the stage is set for Colorblind to take on the Shades on Friday, June 25th at the 11th annual Cool Desert Nights Street Dance. This is sure to be a great night of two very similar bands both fighting for the opportunity to open up the following night, Sat June 26th for the "Legends Of Rock". Stay tune for more details to follow. In the meantime, come on out this Sat, June 19 as Colorblind gets the summer officially kicked off at RF Mcdougllas. This will be another parking lot dance. Music starts at 9:00 pm...See ya there!!!

June 7th, 2004: We are preparing for the "Battle Of The Bands" that has already started with the 1st Round between "Sneaky Pete" and the "Shades" this past weekend. A couple of the guys in the band were able to get down to Rattlesnake and checkout the competion. It was a cold blistery evening and the music was good. Sneaky Pete didn't have much of a following, which later I found out, is the key to winning this competion. Whomever gets the most votes wins. The Shades' performance was good. They stole the dance floor with their cover tunes. All in all it was a good venue for folks to come out and hear two different genre's of music. Thanks to Jaye with the Daniels Group for promoting and organizing this event. So....... this Friday, June 11th, the 2nd Round has "Romagossa Blu"' against "Colorblind" at Jackson's in Richland. Winner of this upcoming round on Friday will perform against the "Shades", winner of Round 1 at the 11th Annual Cool Desert Nights street dance June 25th at Columbia Point Park & Marina. The winning band will then go on to perform as the opening act on Sat. June 26 from 8p-12a for the 'CLASSIC ROCK ALL STARS', the event headliners. We really need to have all our fan support base come join us this Friday at Jackson's. The show starts at 8:00pm, with Colorblind taking the stage at 9:00pm. Please come join us as we try to move through this 1st round. We need your votes!!!!!!

May 22nd, 2004: - Put a band in a airplane hanger???? Well that's exactly what we did this weekend and what a combination with all of our friends and family this was a great party. The weather was stormy all around the airfield that evening, but no rain and the cool winds were blocked by the hanger. A very special thank you to Cliff and Susie for throwing a wonderful party and to everyone who brought all the great food!!!! We had a wedding proposal, a few birthday parties...and as always we meet and make new friends. If you haven't heard yet, Big Jim from the Eagle 106.5 shook the hanger last night when he announced to all that Colorblind could be the opening band on Aug 3rd for ZZ Top in the Kennewick Coliseum. More details to follow......

May 16th, 2004: - If you didn't get to see our show at Duke's you missed one of our best nights. Our debut at Duke's was what we had hoped for...a night of old and new faces in a great new venue. The layout on Duke's was nice. A big open dance floor with a capacity to hold all our friends. We packed the house and made a good buck for the establishment. What more can we say but.... thanks!!!!! As a appreciation to all of our old and new friends who support us and enjoy good ole rock and roll, Colorblind invites you all out to a "Hanger Party" next Sat. May 22nd at the Kennewick Vista Field Airport. The party starts at 6:00pm with hamburgers/hot dogs provided for all!!!!! Music gets started at 8:00 pm. Please bring out your favorite potluck side dish/salad/dessert and your own cooler full of your favorite beverage...oh yeah and some chairs for sitting. Colorblind would like you to tell all your friends and let's have a great time!!!

May 2nd, 2004: - Well..sorry for the delay in getting the photos updated from the last performance at Rattlesnake. Lot of things going on and I wasn't able to get them posted quite as soon as I normally do. Anyway, we had a good time with the crowd that showed. It was really packed again and the music was really loud. My ears are still ringing 8 days later. Our next public appearence will be on May 15th at Duke's Pourhouse in Richland. The bar holds over 200 people so we really want to show the establishment what Colorblind is all about. Please be sure to join us on Sat, May 15th...Show starts at 9:00pm with a $5.00 cover

April 14th, 2004: - Just finally getting back into the groove after a wonderful event that occur on April 2nd. We had a good practice this evening, the first time we have been back together following the show at the Red Lion. Just a brief recap....thanks to all that help on this fundraiser. We can't say enough for the help we receive from Chanda and her staff at the Red Lion, Chuck and compamy from Jackson's, The Eagle 106.5 for all the great advertisement and Big Jim for hosting the event, Concert Production Services and X Production for the outstanding sound system and light show..and countless others how helped us raise over $6000 to "Help Rebuild The Dream". Let me not forget sweet Leisle for all her hard work. We couldn't have done this without you. For a rough cut video of our opening song, please go to our song list page and click on the link to the video. We are back at Rattlesnake Brewing Company next Saturday night, April 24th, 9:00pm. Come check us out...The place will be packed!!!

March 11th, 2004: - Well if you haven't heard yet, we are gearing up for a HUGE event scheduled for April 2, 2004. Colorblind, with the help of a large team of local businesses and volunteers are preparing for a concert at the Red Lion in Pasco to help raise money for the "Playground of Dreams". This event will be held in the Grand Ballroom starting at 8:00pm. The evening will be sponsered by Pasco Red Lion, Eagle 106.5fm, Jacksons, First Night Tri-cites, Petersen Hastings, NW Speed Date, Concert Production Services, Pik-A-Pop, X-Production/IVP, DenMar Video Productions. As many of you know back in November 2003, the Playground of Dreams children's park was burned and destroyed by vandals. This playground was originally constructed by thousands of local volunteers several years ago in a unity of local business and community groups throughout the Tri-Cities. A couple of the band members got together early this year to discuss how we could help "Rebuild The Dream" by raising money through a benfit concert in a large venue in the area. We are a little more that 3 weeks away and most of the arrangements are in place. Ticket sales are starting today at the Pasco Red Lion, Both Jacksons locations, Pik-N-Pop in Richland and the Eagle 106.5 radio station. Please come join us and help us meet our goal of $10,000!!!. Don't forget to also join us on March 27th at RF Mcdougall's for "The Eagle 106.5 Birthday Bash". It's going to be a rockin at RF's

Feburary 21st, 2004: - Practice, practice, practice. That's what we are currently doing. We have added several new songs to the list. Hope to have maybe 5 or 6 total new ones by the time we play out next annual event for "The Eagle 106.5 Birthday Bash". This years event will be held again at RF Mcdougall's and you can guarentee it's going to be PACKED!!! Mark your calendars for Saturday night, March 27th.

January 31st, 2004: - WOW!!!! Jackson's was packed again last night with another awesome crowd out for a night of Classic Rock and Roll. As always, we would like to thank all of our friends and family for coming out and letting us entertain you. We have so much fun at these type events even though it takes some work to pull them off. The reward is seeing everyone having a good time and all the new faces that are showing up at our shows. Billed as a pregame party to the Superbowl, Chuck and his staff at Jackson's did another fine job including great service to the patrons, a ton of advertising, radio spots and many giveaways. We hired a soundman for the evening to ensure that the sound was good all night and what a difference it made!!!! I would like to welcome Chris to our team. Next gig be sure to stop by and tell Chris how good it sounds. Maybe our next addition will be someone to run a light show....sorry Mike.

January 24th, 2004: - We had a GREAT time last night at the CH2M HILL Mardi Gras Ball. The place was festive in the Mardi Gras tradition, just like I remember from all the years down in New Orleans. We finally played Mony Mony after a drilling all night from a friend. I guess will add that to our list. Thanks Cindy!!!

January 16th, 2004: - We are gearing up for a couple of events upcoming starting next week. On Jan 24th we will play for a private post holiday party for a Hanford contractor, CH2M Hill Hanford. The event will be a special 10 year celebration with a Mardi Gras Ball theme. This is sure to be a fun party. On Jan 31st we will return again to Jackson's Sports Bar in Richland for a "Superbowl Eve" party. We played last year for this event and hope this year will just as fun. Please come out and join us for this 2nd annual event.

January 7th, 2004: - We decided to take the week off from practice. We'll be gearing up here for two upcoming gigs the end of this month. We blew an amp at the last gig on New Year's. Oh well...I guess we have been lucky so far.

January 1st, 2004: - Happy New Year!!! We had a wonderful time bringing in the New Year at Jackson's last night. All that joined us had a great time and we keep them rockin past 1:00 am this morning. Chuck at Jackson's billed this as the 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Bash and he delivered. Even with the snow outside, the lack of full attention from the radio contract, they still packed the house. Thanks Jackson's...... for letting us share the evening with our friends and family and as always the new friends we meet. This wrapped up a full year of Colorblind performing in and around the Tri-City area. We have come along way over the past year including the departure of our bass player Rick, and the return of our good friend Lou joining us once again. We look back at the up's and down's of our individual performances and learn more each time...some where good, some were bad..and some where down right GREAT!!! We hope to see you next year as we plan on keeping this thing going....

December 19th, 2003: - We got through the evening at the PTH Holiday Party after a rough start. We couldn't get the sound at a level that all could enjoy. Finally, we were able to get the sound down and to our surprise, it sounded really good. We always learn a bit more each time we play and this party helped us realize that less sometimes is better. Now the trick is to work on dynamics at a lower volume. Thanks to Cindy and Midge with (PTH) for a fun time. The diehard crowd that remained after 9:30 partied hard until midnight. Actually, they wouldn't let us stop!!!

December 8th, 2003: - The band is rehearsing once a week in preperation for the PTH Holiday Party Dec 19th. We even have a couple of Christmas songs we'll play.

November 15th, 2003: - We played Saturday night to a packed house at Rattlesnake. It amazes me how many people enjoy a night out and keep coming to hear us play. We appreicate all the support you continue to give us. Special thanks to Mary and the staff at Rattlesnake....what a party!!!

November 2003: - We are looking forward to Nov. 15th and our first ever appearance at Rattlesnake Mountain Brewing Company. Show starts at 9:00pm. It's sure to be a rockin house. Come join us!!!

October 2003: - We are rehearsing once a week. Our Bass player, Lou has really added a new dimension to our sound..not to mention his vocal presence is outstanding. Look for Lou to be singing more lead on upcoming new songs. We will be adding 4 to 5 new songs prior to our gig at Rattlesnake in November.

September 2003: - After two years of practicing and playing in my home, we finally have secured a new place to rehearse. Thanks to Bill, we are now calling home somewhere else in Kennewick...if we tell you will have to move. We performed 3 times in Sept. A retirement party in Walla Walla at Mill Creek Brewery, Connell Daze at Hazy's....what a great bunch of folks up in Connell. We are looking forward to next year!!! and we wrapped up the month at Jackson's for a outdoor event celebration for the end of summer.
