COLOR BLIND Blog

Let's Welcome Terry Claar to the Band!

Recently our long time lead guitar player, Johnny Strait, decided it was time to leave the band and take a long deserved break. Johnny was with Color Blind for 14 years and played hundreds of shows with us. Johnny will be missed, but Terry has taken stage left and away we go!

2020 -2021..What Happened?

Well, Colorblind is approaching the last few months of 2021. It's almost been like a bad dream looking back at 2020 and 2021. We started out 2020 with a positive outlook for the year, then the changes started to happen. We were impacted with live shows and got together a few times to practice, but 2020 was nothing we care to remember, and 2021 got off to a very slow start. By mid summer we were back playing, but occasionally we would get a hiccup with an event here and there.  As we are approaching the fall season of 2021 we have several events that will get us through the end of the year on.a positive note. 2022 looks very promising already with some good shows book. Look for us to be of course at The Pub in Kennewick several times next year including a big St Patty's party on March 17th, and we have already booked 3 weekend dates in downtown Kennewick at The Branding Iron. We love the downtown scene and look forward to these Branding Iron, 2 night weekend dates.

Hope to see continue our to see our friends outthrough the end of 2021 and get ready for a positive 2022!

Happy New Year 2019!!!

Colorblind is off to a slow start in 2019.  Our drummer had a knee replacement in mid December and we have taken sometime off for his recovery. All indications are good for a speedy recover and we will are scheduled to start performing early March 2019.

We are in our 19th year and it's been a crazy fun ride.  Click on the logo below for a list of our 2019 shows.  More shows will be added throughout the year!

Welcome Keith Schmaljohn

COLOR BLIND is pleased to announce that local musician Keith Schmaljohn has joined COLOR BLINDreplacing John Hasson on bass.  Keith is a very familiar around these parts as the front man and driven force with the group Nasty Jack.  After Nasty Jack stopped gigging following some other band members leaving, Keith got out of the scene for the past few years. With the departure of John Hasson, Keith let us know that he would like that spot and being a killer bass player, it was a easy decision to make the move.

We welcome Keith and look forward to some great gigs.  We also want to thank John Hasson for a hell of a run.....over 10 years with the COLOR BLIND! We has some good shows and great memories with Big John. You will be missed my friend.
